2 Weeks and a Giveaway!

By on October 14, 2012

Okay, so it’s two weeks into my Eating Clean for Halloween commitment and I haven’t given in to the desire for Halloween candy.

I can’t say I’ve totally “Eaten Clean” however and for that I hang my head (just a little bit… if I hang it all the way, as ‘in shame’, I get a little tweak that goes all the way down my back.)

I make no excuses. I was a whiny baby this last week. I was so tired of being sick with the flu that wouldn’t end. I worked out last Monday and felt so great. I was making notes for this very post, sure I’d be pounds down and energy up. But that one workout seemed to pull the rug out from whatever was keeping my illness from going to the next level. So it went.

Anyway, day after day of coughing, nose blowing, exhaustion, up all night-ing, oh, and PMS!

Then hubby did the shopping at Trader Joe’s and came home with the most Evil (delicious) loaf of unnecessary bread I’ve ever met. It’s name…. was Challah. And even as I write this, on the eve of the Clean Eating week of my dreams, I want more. I want to go to Trader Joe’s tomorrow and buy one little loaf just for me. I want to come home and eat it while I pay the bills. Because paying the bills is hard and not fun and makes me very tense. And Challah just makes me comfortably numb. And nice. It makes me nice.

So, there you have it. I will not go to Trader Joe’s tomorrow.

And now, without further ado… The Giveaway!!!

I’m calling this the You Are Special Gift Set, and I put it together just for you guys. I don’t have any companies giving me things to give away, so you’re stuck with the stuff I have, which is rocks mostly. But, here’s what I was thinking with this. I wanted to give you something to assist you in remembering that you are special and that you deserve beauty and support and pink scented candles. These candles are from Big Dipper Waxworks and they’re pure beeswax, natural and fabulous. I chose Rapture and Sensuality, for you. I was thinking about what would be good to help (us) align more easily with our healthy selves and I believe that getting in touch with our vital, beautiful, extraordinarily feminine, root chakra spinning selves might be it. I know, for myself, that its in the fog, in the disconnected moments where I crave the bad stuff. I can get into a bad habit of not sitting in my Goddess Power and allowing myself to feel filled up. So… candles.

Then of course, crystals. One Amethyst Sphere and one Clear Quartz Point. Yummy, aren’t they? They’re not too big, but you’ll love them. They’re good for your desk or night stand. Great to hold, gaze into, meditate with or otherwise enjoy. Your children will want them, but you do not have to share.

Last is a little pouch with a selection of stones that carry different wonderful energies. I’ll include an information sheet with stone meanings, although I suggest people go with what they feel attracted to. There will probably be at least a few more by the time the winner receives their package, but for sure you will get these. I like to choose each day the stone or stones I feel I want with me. Then put them in the pouch and wear it under or over your clothes. Is it just me or does that Black Tourmaline look like a piece of that old school licorice? (see how hungry I am?)

And that my friends is the gift I am so happy to share with you. The contest will go for the next two weeks and then I’ll announce the winner. Yippee!!! This is my first time using Rafflecopter, so I had some fun with it. My giveaways have historically been pretty low entry, so do take a chance.

I haven’t eaten Halloween candy either this month, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been too many Starbucks birthday cakepops. Have you had them? They’re the most perfectly designed wonderful little evil confection ever made.

Chakras. Important, I think. Haven’t given them much thought recently. Thanks for a reminder.

What lovely goodies you have. Should it not be me, I do envy the person that will win this because I know how much effort you go into to pick just the right things for people. You’re so thoughtful that way.
And challah bread? Oh, heaven. Ciabatta is my bread weakness. Mmm. The month is half over and you’ve done well under the circumstances, I think. Flu and PMS are hard things to go up against!

    What a gorgeous prize!
I want to start concentrating on my tummy in the next two weeks, slowly building up to a full set of exercises… still need to figure out what those exercises will be :)
